I have different mail carriers, But I would like for all my mail to go to my
windows mail box. I don't know how to fix this and I really don't want to mess it up and loose all my mail,So how can I do this? It would be greatly appreciated if you could help me in doing so and make it alot eaiser on me when I check mail. Instead of having to login to all the others I can go directly to windows and have all my mail there. I think I know how to do it , but I don't want to mess it up.I know you can help me and get it done the right way so please help!!! Thanks, Julie Pikeville, KY |

Julie,
Well you're in luck because that's how Windows Mail (WM) works. Set up each e-mail account separately in WM and they all will end up in the same inbox naturally. Don't worry about messing it up. If you make a mistake, just delete the account. The trick will be for you is to get the account information. That data comes from the mail providers help web page setup instructions (for each account). Are the accounts from the same e-mail provider but different names?...so much the better. -- Regards, BobF. That depends somewhat on who your other mail providers are.
Some of them offer only webmail access. Windows Mail cannot accommodate accounts that have only webmail access. If you think you may have that situation, let us know who the mail providers are, and we may be able to suggest workarounds. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "Julie" <jujutaylor@hillbillymail.com> wrote in message news:u039JOJiIHA.4140@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >I have different mail carriers, But I would like for all my mail to go to my windows mail box. Your message isn't very clear. If you want a separate set of Local Folders for each account, try Windows Live Mail, which provides this: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "rian" <rian@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A52AC5BD-59E5-4FDF-A72A-61BD1B348597@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I want the opposite, different account all in a seperate map, not in the > same inbox! is that possible as well? > > thanks in advance, > > Rian, Netherlands > > "Bob F." wrote: > >> Julie, >> Well you're in luck because that's how Windows Mail (WM) works. Four possibilities: 1. Use different Windows Users 2. Make new folders and make a message rule like this: Apply this rule after the message arrives Where the message is from the mail.fjsmjs.com account Move it to the fjsmjs folder and Stop processing more rules 3. Use Windows Live Mail which has separate folders for each account: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview 4. Buy WMIDs http://www.oehelp.com/WMIDs/Default.aspx -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not reply with email |
