Hi the803,
Some things to try. I notice that your graphics card is overclocked. What happens when it is clocked at its normal speed? Try booting up into safe mode and see if the problem persists - safe mode eliminates problems caused by 3rd party drivers as the system runs using the drivers as supplied on the Vista installation disk. Also try running msconfig by clicking the start orb, type 'msconfig' into search box and press enter. After providing administrative credentials, the program appears. Select the 'Boot' tab and under the section headed 'Boot options' check (ie place a tick) in the check box next to 'Base video'. Click 'OK' and close the program. The next time you restart your machine, you will be running with the graphics driver as supplied with Vista. If you are able to shut down normally with any of the suggestions then try downloading and installing the latest WHQL driver from Nvidia. It is possible that your driver is corrupt.
