Looks OK to me. Do you use any printers, scanners, or other peripherals?
Check whether there are Vista drivers for them. Office 2003 works fine under Vista X64 Home Premium. (I believe that the Microsoft Document Imaging printer device may not install, though.) I use the Student version, which contain the same applications as the Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). I have no personal experience with the applications that aren't included in the Standard version. Photoshop CS3 works fine. (Adobe doesn't support CS2 under Vista. I had to upgrade because CS2 tended to be unable to access my printers.) Canon has a Vista updater for DPP. I haven't tried it. (I use the Photoshop RAW converter.) In response to your later posting, I believe that most of the 32 bit versions of Windows are limited to 4 GB of RAM, and that less than 4 GB will actually be available within Windows due to some address limitations (which I don't pretend to understand). I had been led to believe that I wouldn't be able to run beta drivers under Vista X64, but that has not been the case. (I have an nVidia graphics card.) I am not sure that any of the applications that you mention will individually profit from being run on a machine with 8GB of RAM installed, but maybe you'll be able to run multiple memory-hungry applications simultaneously. Return address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn. "therock" <therock.35znl5@no-mx.forums.net> wrote in message news:therock.35znl5@no-mx.forums.net... > > Hi folks, > > First post here.
