Epson 830U Photo 'unrecognised cartridge'

Got some cartridges on Ebay - not Epson but the original 2 worked fine,
until i changed a second colour cartridge then got the error messahe
'unrecognised cartridge'. Replaced the empty one and still got the same
message (this had previously been fine, just ran out of ink).

Anyone have any fix for this problem or advice?

Hmmm.. Just managed to 'fix' this with a chip resetter, but if anyone has
any other fix not requiring this bit of kit still happy to hear it!
