Internet Explorer opened nonstop IE blank pages

I had to restart the computer using the power reset button. I had been using
the internet. I downloaded a software then after tha blank pages I used
Windows Live One Care online, the free scanner, and did a complete scan and
there was no virus. Windows Defender did not find any problems.
