Hi, I have problem in accessing my lan drive (lan server) since installed
Vista Home Premium. I can access the root directory of the lan drive and also one level down. I can't access any directories under the first level. For example, I have a directory MY NAME in the root directory and MY DATA under MY NAME.... I can access MY NAME and cannot go further into MY DATA. But I don't have the problem when I use my old laptop with Windows 98. Anybody knows how to fix the problem? |

go to USERS folder then the MyName folder
On Vista, it may look like a folder, but may actually be a 'junction' that is nothing more than a virtual road sign to tell programs where the data is at or is supposed to go. But in their infinite wisdom, MS made it look like a folder.
