One or more places on my Vista and Office software have "enter name and password" screens, with a box to check if I want the system to remember the password. When one checks that box I assume one is no longer asked for the password. What if one checks the box and then later needs/wants to change the password? How does one "generally" accomplish that? If there is no MS standard procedure, what are the 2-3 most common procedures? Actually, my question applies even if one does not check the box at those screens - how does one change a password? Thanks. -- ---------- CWLee Former slayer of dragons; practice now limited to sacred cows. Believing we should hire for quality, not quotas, and promote for performance, not preferences. |

Thanks. In the past I have always been very frustrated with MS's Help function, but maybe it has improved with Vista, so I'll give it another try. Thanks again. =============== "AJR" <ajrjdr@comcast.net> wrote in message news:%23beQDDvXIHA.5816@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Start>Control panel>User accounts - suggestion - make use > of "Help and Support". > > > "CWLee" <cdubyalee@post.harvard.edu> wrote in message > news:e874mzuXIHA.4808@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >> >> One or more places on my Vista and Office software have >> "enter name and password" screens, with a box to check if >> I want the system to remember the password.
