Default eSATA question

Hi All,

I installed PCIe board that has 2 internal and 2 External SATA ports from
PNY found at:
http://www2.pny.com/PCIe-SATA-II-RA...-P2554C328.aspx, and also has
this 750GB portable Hard Disk found at:
http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/pr...ro_data_movers/

I tried 2 different eSata cables and the hard disk is not powered up. Also I
connected using the internal sata port to the ASUS DVD device and it works
just fine. With the USB all works fine (USB is connected to the MB).

What do you thing the problem could be? Does anybody has an experince
working with the above?

Thanks,

Joe

Default Re: eSATA question

this from the instructions

Just connect the interface and power cords to your PC, run
through the simple software wizard, and you're ready to go.

SATA cables do NOT carry power............
