Default Full Drive Restore/Bluetooth and SP1 RC at odds

I have an ASUS V1S(Support is useless) I did a full backup of my main drive
and then poked around under the hood and screwed things up as I expected. I
went to restore my drive and it tells me I need the disk, my OEM
reinstallation disk have no recovery and the partitions are fried(Tried dual
booting Ubuntu) My only option was to replace my hard fought
installation/configuration and setup. Now I've got 4 DVD's with all my hard
work and I can't access them. SP1 RC says it will have the ability to make a
restore disk I can't find it. AIK is my final hope and I really don't look
forward to wading through all that stuff. Anyone got any ideas? Additionally
my presenter 8000 mouse won't configure through my built in bluetooth since I
in stalled SP1 RC. If I have to use a dongle what's the point?

Default RE: Full Drive Restore/Bluetooth and SP1 RC at odds

P.S.
The problem with the bluetooth was the Toshiba stack I was
running, Microsoft's default which didn't work now does.
