I have a PC with Vista Premium 32 on it and as an ex XP user its doing my
head in as I can't figure out how to do some things with user access/permission etc. I am the sole user and, I believe, always logged on as the administrator. I have one program which contains database behind its front end. If i click on it in the start menu it opens but without the data from the database displayed. If i right click on it in the start menu and then "run as administrator" it starts to open and goes through two iterations of "windows needs your permission" screens but it does then open with the data displayed. The second program is a CAD program which when you start the main program it fires up its updating service exe which also falls foul of the "windows needs your permission" screens. As i want both of the to run without messing about how do i change the permission or, if its not permissions doing it, what do I fix Grateful for any help Paul Martin |
