sending pdf files does not work anymore

I received a pdf file and forwarded it on to another person, it sent it 14
times and sent as a dat file. I have jumped through every hoop to fix this
issue and can not rectify it. This has never happened before.

Tools | Accounts
Select the account and click Properties.
On the Advanced tab uncheck the option to break apart large messages.

If that isn't the problem exactly what email program are you using?
