I have a PC with XP and Vista in a dual boot configuration. XP on C: and
Vista on D:, separate physical drives. Vista rating is 4.3. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I could use the Snipping Tool. Now, when I double click the desktop shortcut, the following error message appears: The Snipping Tool is not working on your computer right now. Restart your computer and then try again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator. This is a home installation and guess that I am the system administrator. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resurrect this application? SnippingTool.exe is in Windows\System32. No matter how I try to start it, the same error message appears. Perhaps, this happened after the December updates. Also, I have Office 2007 installed. When I tried to start Word, the system went through some sort of install. Previously, I had also been using Office 2007 applications. Thanks, Gordo |

You might try re-installing via the Programs & Features in the control
panel. -- Dustin Harper dharper@vistarip.com http://www.vistarip.com "gordo" <None@phony.net> wrote in message news:O$xOC08SIHA.5164@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >I have a PC with XP and Vista in a dual boot configuration. I tried looking at the Programs and Features. The snipping tool is not
listed. Thanks, Gordo "Dustin Harper" <dharper@vistarip.com> wrote in message news:CD6EA518-0E7D-4102-A79E-77A33834FEF6@microsoft.com... > You might try re-installing via the Programs & Features in the control > panel. > > -- > Dustin Harper > dharper@vistarip.com > http://www.vistarip.com > > > "gordo" <None@phony.net> wrote in message > news:O$xOC08SIHA.5164@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >>I have a PC with XP and Vista in a dual boot configuration. If you had absolutely nothing to add ramses why not just keep it to yourself? People are looking for solutions not adds for software. Do you get it? |

Thanks for the responses on the three queries about the snipping tool. The
one that worked for me was using SFC. Gordo "gordo" <None@phony.net> wrote in message news:O$xOC08SIHA.5164@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >I have a PC with XP and Vista in a dual boot configuration.
