Default Vista I/O, copied from CD->?

In an effort to: eliminate opening/closing the CD door; I copied the Disk,
(furnished by book-Vista IO), to my HD. Transferring the file, [Start CD],
to my Dsktop.

Now, nothing works? How do I correct this?

Perhaps you should start with a laundry list of what you mean by "Nothing
works."

It could be 100 things, I'll tell you. Perhaps you cannot start the Windows.
That may the item #1 on that list.
