safe mode looping

Hello,

My aunt was on her computer, it went black.
Now it starts up wanting you to choose safe mode or one of the other
options, same as F8, then you think it is going into safe mode, then goes
back to the same safe mode option screen?

Can you try repairing your Windows Vista installation?
.. Boot from your Windows Vista DVD, select the System Repair Option > on the
setup screen, select 'Repair Computer > Select your installation of Windows
> select Startup Repair option and follow instructions.
