Default Widows mail


When auto send and recieve is enabled does windows mail have to be running to
do this or is it like outlook and on minimize does it stay running? If so how
do you get it to display in the tool bar like outlook?

In order for Windows Mail to work, it has to be running, either in
the foreground or in the background.
There is a third party tool for minimizing a running Windows Mail
to the system tray:

The newer Windows Live Mail has this function built in:
http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview
