Default broadband connection to internet

Im trying to get internet through my cable co. They are telling me that there
is an option missing in the connection wizard. The two that are there(dial-up
and broadband that requires an ID and password from the ISP) are not what
they use. The "Broadband connection that is always on" selection is the one
they are looking for. Apparently XP has that as a third choice and I don't
have it with Vista. Any suggestions?

It's probably not seeing your cable modem. You should have a LAN (Ethernet)
connection and it should come up quite easily. Once you do this, the
"always on" option should appear.
