Hi,
I have a folder containing approximately 100 folders, each with many files in them. I can't move these folders to another location on my computer. The "move" dialog box comes up, but it never gets past calculating the size of the files that will be moved. If I press cancel, nothing happens, and the dialog stays there. If I try to move a folder via the command line, it tells me that "Access is denied". So now I have several hundred files that I really need to move to another location, and I can't. What should I do? (I'm running Vista, w/ latest updates, on a lenovo T61 laptop) Thanks, - m |

Both are set to with the same permissions every other folder has. I figure if it was a permissions issue, I'd at least get a popup stating something like that. |

What permissions does your user face to these folders? If your user isn't listed click Users. Does it have Write and Modify? -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not send email |
