Web Mail Services cannot be set as a default email program, you either have
to have them setup through programs such as Microsoft Windows Mail or Office Outlook. -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry "GW" <GW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7F23B428-4AA4-45B0-BB3D-80F119AE1743@microsoft.com... > HI, I installed Yahoo Messenger, still, Yahoo Mail not an option in IE > options menu. > > ? |

I am sure you did, as you were able to do just that with Outlook Express.
Windows Mail no longer allows you that option. -- Regards, Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "GW" <GW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4A132603-2A98-4CE9-8958-13136C6C54BE@microsoft.com... > Thanks Andre, I did this exact thing with IE6, XP and Yahoo Mail. > > "Andre Da Costa[ActiveWin]" wrote: > >> Web Mail Services cannot be set as a default email program, you either >> have >> to have them setup through programs such as Microsoft Windows Mail or >> Office >> Outlook. >> -- >> Andre >> Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com >> My Vista Quickstart Guide: >> http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry >> "GW" <GW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news:7F23B428-4AA4-45B0-BB3D-80F119AE1743@microsoft.com... >> > HI, I installed Yahoo Messenger, still, Yahoo Mail not an option in IE >> > options menu. >> > >> > ? >> >> >> |

I know that Windows Mail does not support HTTP mail, but I think POP3
support should be available through Yahoo Mail Plus service you have to pay for. -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry "Richard Urban" <richardurbanREMOVETHIS@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:uiyWo5UPIHA.6060@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >I am sure you did, as you were able to do just that with Outlook Express. >Windows Mail no longer allows you that option. > > -- > > Regards, > > Richard Urban > Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User > > > "GW" <GW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:4A132603-2A98-4CE9-8958-13136C6C54BE@microsoft.com... >> Thanks Andre, I did this exact thing with IE6, XP and Yahoo Mail. >> >> "Andre Da Costa[ActiveWin]" wrote: >> >>> Web Mail Services cannot be set as a default email program, you either >>> have >>> to have them setup through programs such as Microsoft Windows Mail or >>> Office >>> Outlook. >>> -- >>> Andre >>> Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com >>> My Vista Quickstart Guide: >>> http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry >>> "GW" <GW@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >>> news:7F23B428-4AA4-45B0-BB3D-80F119AE1743@microsoft.com... >>> > HI, I installed Yahoo Messenger, still, Yahoo Mail not an option in IE >>> > options menu. >>> > >>> > ? >>> >>> >>> > |

Actually there is a nifty little program called YPOPs. It's basically a bridge program that will allow you to access your Yahoo mail thru any e-mail program capable of POP3. I have it running in WLM right now. Two caveats at the moment with this particular version... 1. Leaves everything on the server, so you have to do clean up manually. Not a big problem, just pop on once a week/month and do it there. 2. To send you have use the SMTP your ISP provides. Charter in my case for example. Also no biggie. -- Ok, I admit it, I killed Barney!! http://www.lockergnome.com/darksentinel You know what to do with the munge |

Not a problem. Go back and try again and this time give a New York postcode and a New York addresMs. Something like 4/3457 6th Ave NY NY. Doesn't matter where you live in the big wide world this should work. Rgards Keith M |
