Default Active Folder in Mail too dim

I can't tell which folder is active in the folder pane by just looking at
it.

Yes, I can hover and it highlights more.

The name does appear in the top border bar.

There is a very thin line boxing in the name, but when the folder name pane
is full, it is barely visible.

Is there a setting where I can make the active folder highlighting more
visible?

John

Many of us Vista beta testers complained about this faintness of
highlighting, but the reply we got from MS basically indicated
that this was a GUI design decision that was cast in concrete
and could not be changed.

Did anyone suggest they use a more visible color?
Like yellow.

Yes. The reply we got essentially said that people who had trouble
seeing which folder was selected should use the Windows "high contrast"
setting: Control Panel (classic view), Ease of Access Center.

Yes. They had been told to use what they used.
