I can't tell which folder is active in the folder pane by just looking at
it. Yes, I can hover and it highlights more. The name does appear in the top border bar. There is a very thin line boxing in the name, but when the folder name pane is full, it is barely visible. Is there a setting where I can make the active folder highlighting more visible? John |

Many of us Vista beta testers complained about this faintness of
highlighting, but the reply we got from MS basically indicated that this was a GUI design decision that was cast in concrete and could not be changed. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "John" <John@UseGroupOnly.com> wrote in message news:L4idnTZTI9owbcLanZ2dnUVZ_rWtnZ2d@centurytel.net... >I can't tell which folder is active in the folder pane by just looking at it. > > Yes, I can hover and it highlights more. > > The name does appear in the top border bar. > > There is a very thin line boxing in the name, but when the folder name pane is full, it is barely visible. > > Is there a setting where I can make the active folder highlighting more visible? > > John > |

Did anyone suggest they use a more visible color?
Like yellow. Yes. The reply we got essentially said that people who had trouble
seeing which folder was selected should use the Windows "high contrast" setting: Control Panel (classic view), Ease of Access Center. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Bob" <nowhere@nowhere.net> wrote in message news:4ABD02B5-B0FD-43AD-BBA6-BC1A08403334@microsoft.com... > Did anyone suggest they use a more visible color? > Like yellow. > > "Gary VanderMolen" <gary@NoMail.invalid> wrote in message news:u93urZQPIHA.4752@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... >> Many of us Vista beta testers complained about this faintness of >> highlighting, but the reply we got from MS basically indicated >> that this was a GUI design decision that was cast in concrete >> and could not be changed. >> -- >> Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] >> >> >> "John" <John@UseGroupOnly.com> wrote in message news:L4idnTZTI9owbcLanZ2dnUVZ_rWtnZ2d@centurytel.net... >>> >>> John >>> >> >> > |
