I have tried that...it saves the font, but when I try to compose a new email
the font always goes back to Arial "Mike Hall - MVP" wrote: > Tools > Options > Compose tab if you are using Windows Mail.. > > -- > Mike Hall - MVP > http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/default.aspx > > > > > "Brenda" <Brenda@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:3A4A90E1-FF45-4233-82DB-935D58EA7BDB@microsoft.com... > >I can't change the font that I want to reply to messages with, and compose > > messages with. > > |

1. That only applies to HTML mail.
2. It won't apply if you use a stationery that specifies a font. Actually it happens when I run either SpyBot or Spyware Doctor. I ran those
two programs today and my mail settings had changed again, causing me to do yet another system restore! Any suggestions? "Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM" wrote: > 1. Simple. Don't run incompatible third party security software.

I apologize, it appears I was mistaken about what was causing it. I had it
all back to normal, and then installed 4 Microsoft Updates. Any idea why the updates would change this font, as well as changing my IE settings back to default? I have restored, and am waiting for the 4 updates to come up again, and want to know which one NOT to install. "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Simple. Sorry, I have no idea which update may have caused you a problem.
I haven't heard of anyone else having a problem with the latest updates. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Brenda" <Brenda@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7C224508-20E4-40D3-BFB6-4C7BC036FB8F@microsoft.com... >I apologize, it appears I was mistaken about what was causing it. Hi,
I went back and uninstalled the updates one by one to find out which one is giving me the problem. It is KB942615 that keeps switching everything on me, and won't let me change it back. According to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942615 , Microsoft has set up
a free support hotline for this update, so give them a call. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Brenda" <Brenda@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B04EE8D0-05C9-4A67-9A96-22550CD5C5EB@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I went back and uninstalled the updates one by one to find out which one is > giving me the problem.
