When I send mail out it is rejected with Windows Mail-Error, the host (i
have used pop3 and smtp) could not be found error number 0x800CCC0D. HELP. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CORRECT THIS FOR DAYS. I HAVE YET TO FIND A CUSTOMER SUPPORT THAT CAN EVEN TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO. |

Ask you email provider (who is probably also your internet provider) for their instructions to set up to use their email servers. If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, use their instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows Mail instead. The instructions are probably somewhere on their web site. Connecting to Yahoo from Windows Mail requires a premium Yahoo account: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/ma...pop/pop-35.html |

Who is providing you the email address?
You need to check with them. Most have a help page to tell you what their server names are. For instance, to find help with comcast Google "comcast email server" Also, keep in mind that Windows Mail can only access POP & IMAP email servers. It cannot access http email. The newer WIndows Live Mail can access POP, IMAP & Hotmail accounts. -- http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "Janet Stevens" <nateswsmom@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:OdRxryCPIHA.4880@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > When I send mail out it is rejected with Windows Mail-Error, the host (i > have used pop3 and smtp) could not be found error number 0x800CCC0D. > HELP. It contains a lot of additional information that would help diagnose the problem. Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular resident protection. Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. -- Frank Saunders MS-MVP IE,OE/WM www.fjsmjs.com Do not send email |

Didn't any of the 4 responses to her question help you?
Who is your email provider? -- http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview "angie reed" <acolereed@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:e85oppQPIHA.3388@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > did you ever get a answer to this i have the same problem > "Janet Stevens" <nateswsmom@yahoo.com> wrote in message > news:OdRxryCPIHA.4880@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> When I send mail out it is rejected with Windows Mail-Error, the host (i >> have used pop3 and smtp) could not be found error number 0x800CCC0D. >> HELP. Evidently the web interface users have a hard time figuring out
how to see replies. Microsoft either needs to improve that interface or else send customers to the NNTP newsgroup instead. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Dave" <dave@beepbeep.com> wrote in message news:urZGDERPIHA.5264@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Didn't any of the 4 responses to her question help you? > > Who is your email provider? > > > -- > http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview > > "angie reed" <acolereed@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:e85oppQPIHA.3388@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >> did you ever get a answer to this i have the same problem >> "Janet Stevens" <nateswsmom@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:OdRxryCPIHA.4880@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... >>> When I send mail out it is rejected with Windows Mail-Error, the host (i have used pop3 and smtp) could not be found error >>> number 0x800CCC0D. >>> HELP.
