I have exactly the same problems. My Toshiba laptop recognises that there is an IPOD, Freecom Ext HD, HP Printer etc connected via USB, but keeps asking for drivers. The drivers are installed but the hardware just won't sync with it! I went through with HP online help to find a solution and their guys couldn't work it out. The only device that works is a mouse. Someone help us!
