My emails go to the outbox but I can delete them from there. When I try to
move them to my drafts folder they just dissapear completely. I have read the other problems people are having about not being able to send emails but mine seems to be different as I can delete them from the outbox. Can somebody help me ? -- Robert |

Ask your email provider (who is probably also your internet provider) for instructions for setting up. If they haven't written instructions for Windows Mail yet, use their instructions for Outlook Express but under Windows Mail instead. The instructions are probably somewhere on their web site. Or, you could tell us who your email provider is and see if anyone here already knows where to find the instructions. |

Uninstall McAfee. Reboot, then try sending again. If there is
an error message, post it here. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Robert" <Robert@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6422A3DF-9633-4D9B-91C2-4FA9CA3BEA5D@microsoft.com... >I use bellsouth. > My email problems just started today. McAfee antivirus software often causes problems in Windows Mail.
It's a good idea to uninstall it even if it won't run anymore. Check if you have Windows Mail's email account set up to match these instructions: <http://help.bellsouth.net/bellsouth/asp/browse_subfolder.asp?sprt_fid=0a41840c-0baf-4379-9f63-f578f49fee77> <http://help.bellsouth.net/bellsouth/asp/contentview.asp?isbrowse=true&sprt_cid=24dbf61a%2D2ce9%2D4192%2Da589%2D121587e364c2> "Robert" <Robert@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6422A3DF-9633-4D9B-91C2-4FA9CA3BEA5D@microsoft.com... >I use bellsouth. > My email problems just started today. One thing I have to mention, the reason I am posting this here is that I am
not computer savy. How do I uninstal Mcafee? -- Robert "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Uninstall McAfee. Reboot, then try sending again. The same way you would uninstall any program:
Go to Control Panel, (Classic View), Programs and Features. There may be multiple entries for McAfee; if so,delete each one. If there is an error during the uninstall, don't panic, because McAfee has a special removal utility for when that happens. -- Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] "Robert" <Robert@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F3704B2F-F52C-40CD-A870-3CE235EE5FFB@microsoft.com... > One thing I have to mention, the reason I am posting this here is that I am > not computer savy. I have uninstalled Mcafee, I have made sure my incoming and outgoing settings
are set to mail.bellsouth.net and I am still having most of the same problems. Every time I try to send an mail out it goes to my outbox but now I can move it to the drafts folder and when I try to resend it it goes back into the outbox and remains there. And now when I close windows mail it tells me I have unsent messages in my outbox and if I want to send them now. There has to be something else I can do??? Thanks -- Robert "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: > Any error message when you try to send? > Which antivirus program are you running? > > -- > Gary VanderMolen [MS-MVP WLM] > > > "Robert" <Robert@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F4A28265-7B9F-40A7-86AC-7916FD0BA2F8@microsoft.com... > > My emails go to the outbox but I can delete them from there.
