Default How do I download a web page from the server

I need to download one of my web pages from the server back to my hard disc
and and FrontPage. I'm sure this is possible but need advice on how to do so.

Does the live/remote site have the FP extensions installed?

Ok, then open FP, then File Menu | Open Site and enter http://www.yourdomainname.com, then your
login info, then click Ok, then click Open, now you can either work directly on your site content or
you can use the File Menu | Publish command to publish a copy of the site back to your local PC,
overwriting your current content.

Note: The site that you first open in FP is considered your local site and the one that you publish
to is consider the remote site.

Default Re: How do I download a web page from the server

This is the way I do this, in any case, when I want to transfer individual
files:

In Frontpage, Open the local web (File > Open > Website...), then File >
Publish Site, enter password/username when (if) prompted; then transfer the
file(s)( from the right-hand list to the left-hand list. (use the right/left
arrows between the two file list panes use the left-pointing arrow to
transfer"down" to your PC; use the "right" arrow to upload to the server).
You can even "drag and drop" the files from one to the other (both
directions)

OR

If the server doesn't have the server extensions installed, use FTP mode in
Frontpage (similar process to above - use the left/right arrows or drag and
drop), or any other FTP program (follow the procedures for that FTP program
(also use drag and drop)
