Default Windows Defender

Has anyone seen Windows Defender in action? It
is built into Vista and it gets updates a couple of times
week, but it seems to be doing uhhh, well not very much.

What is Windows Defender supposed to do and does it
meet its design criteria? I guess my question is really asking
if Windows Defender is actually effective.

Well, it regularly updates itself in the background and the software
Explorer is used to managed startup items for the system. You can learn more
about in a review I did:

You are just sore that Ubuntu (for home users) is still a boil on the ass of
Microsoft. Just a TOY that computer NERD's use for amusement. Nothing
more.

Open Sores software is a joke. Not to be taken seriously, but from what
I've heard, not many viruses make it to Linux/Ubuntu. Probably because
there are so few users!! Imagine that. Linux/Ubuntu is FREE and it still
has a very small following.

Numbers speak for themselves.....
