Default Windows Vista Home Basic

I have Office 2007 and when I'm using Excel or Word, I crash. Also everytime
I install updates, the system won't start and it prompts me to do repairs,
then I have to do a system restore before I can get it back up. The
diagnostics finds nothing. What's the problem. Thanks

Have you checked the Problem Reports and Solutions > View Problem History
applet (Start > All Programs > Maintenance) to find out if there any
solutions or information that can help to diagnose the problem? If you see
reports listed for the programs you described are crashing, right click
each, > click View Details Copy and Paste here so we can help you figure out
what might be the problem.

I'm not sure how to do all of this very well. From following your
instructions, I think the KB941649 is the culprit. KB 890830, AND KB941600
WERE OK. When I tried KB 941649, it asked me to restart. The system froze
upon restart and emitted a loud alarm sound. I had to run repairs and then
restore. Thanks for all your help.
