KB938979 and Outlook 2007

I am running Vista Ultimate and Office 2007. All patches applied, except for
KB938979. Whenever I apply this patch, Outlook will hang at various times.
Whenever I remove this patch, Outlook will function properly.

The same problem occurred with KB941649. However, with the new version two
of KB941649 installed, Outlook functions properly.

I can reproduce the problem by simply installing KB938979. I can fix the
problem by simply removing KB938979.

Any thoughts? Any relationship between 938979 and the two versions of 941649?
