Default Trendline segments

I have a graph with 8 data points representing years 2000-2007. WE would like
to put two trendlines on the graph. one that shows years 2000-2004 and a
second one that shows 2005-2007. Can this be done?

Hi,

Yes but you will need to add extra data series.
The trend line will be based on all the points in the series. So add a
series with 2000-2004 data and one for 2005-2007 data.
You can now add your 2 trend lines.

Note that you do not have to see the 2 extra trend lines. These can be
formatted to have no line or markers.

Cheers
Andy

Plot as two series.
Arrange the data as
....... 2000-2004 2005-2007
date-1 value =NA() 'first date
date-2 value =NA()
date-20 value =NA() 'last 2004 date
......
date-21 =NA() value 'first 2005 date
date-22 =NA() value
......
Make chart; add trendline to each series
You can always make the two series look like one by formatting
best wishes
