Your dual boot MBR was on the C drive.........Vista's bootloader overwrote
it. here is a link to a free program that lets you modify the bootloader http://news.helpero.com/article/Eas...n-tool_363.html peter "Power" <Power@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BDAB3D7F-86CF-4743-AF94-CD2AE7E60228@microsoft.com... >I have 1 computer with 2 harddrive, i had XP Home on C drive and i have XP > Pro on D drive, after installation of Vista on C drive, its impossible to > start XP on D drive. > Ther is no window to sellect witch OS i can start. > How do i do,can anybody help me. |

Hi,
You need to to use bcdedit /add from a command prompt, see instructions here: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms791568.aspx You may find it easier to use VistaBootPro if you are uncomfortable with working from the command prompt: http://www.vistabootpro.org/ -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Power" <Power@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BDAB3D7F-86CF-4743-AF94-CD2AE7E60228@microsoft.com... |
