Keyboard_Filter_01 in Other devices

I have clean installed XP Professional on a Compaq nx6120 laptop and install
all the drivers from HP website but when I go into device manager and select
show hidden devices it shows Keyboard_Filter_01 as Other devices, I have
already installed the Synaptics Pointing Device software and now not sure
what this is for?
