Low Windows Aero Score with NVidia GS 8300 256mb card?

Can anyone help advise what Windiws Aero score I should get with the
NVidia GS8300 card with 256mb onboard. As the gaming graphics score is
4.2 but Aero score only 3.4 I know this is not a speedy card but it is
all I could afford at the moment. A friend claims an Aero score of 4.6
with the same card. Having tried installing the latest drivers etc to
no avail I am not sure if the card is not performing as it should or
not? my system is a Intel Q6600 2.4 with 2GB memory Any advice would
be appriciated.

This is a lower end card, but if your friend is getting a better score, you
should do what you can to make sure your system is using the card to the
full extent. Check your bios Settings and ensure all BUS and video
optimizations on/working. Try to mimic the settings your friends system BIOS
is using if you have any of the same settings to work with.

Have you actually updated the assessment? It is not updated automatically.

If you do not select and run Update my score the score displayed will be the
last one run - when Vista was initially installed if you have not run the
assessment since.

Hi Yes I have updated the assessment at every change.
