Default ReadyBoost Cache

I switched from a 4GB USB Memoryto a 4GB SD card. The ReadyBosot Properties
indicates " A cache exists on another device in the system. Please remove the
cache from that device before creating a cache on this device." I removed the
cache from the original device and still get the same message and cannot get
ReadyBoost on any device now. Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you unplug the USB flash drive?

Try rebooting.

Michael,

Thanks for the input. I finally determined the cause of the problem. I have
a Lenovo X61 with 1GB Intel Turbo Memory. It is basically for a "Ready Drive"
hadr disk cache. The is an additional option for it also to be the
"ReadyBoost" cache. Once I unchecked the box for the ReadyBoost and rebooted,
Vista started to recognize my SD card.

Glad to hear you got it worked out,
and for posting back. Many users may take
advice here, but never post back if it actually
helped them.

Take care,

Michael
