Dell and Vista

Dell tells me I need to install certain drivers if I upgrade to Vista
Ultimate from XP. Will that be necessary if I do a clean install of
Vista on my dell Dimension 9200?

Unless you believe Dell is just out to get you.
Then I would be leery of what Dell says.

Yes, they use certain device drivers for your model that might not come
bundled with the operating system.
