Default address book in windows mail

In my address book I have all 4 folder with e-mail address in them Family,
Friends, work etc. However when I go to my Window Mail and click on “Create
Mail” then click on “to” all of the e-mail address come up and not the 4
folder that I made. Have too many address to go through every time I want to
send a message to a few people. How can I change it to the way it came up
when I used Outlook Express

Sorry, that is how it works in Windows Mail.
You can upgrade to Windows Live Mail which allows you to access
contact groups from the To field, and you can expand and delete
individual recipients from a group.

When I try to download, it says Windows Live won't run on my OS. I have
Vista Ultimate 64.

Sorry, the current version of the WLM installer only runs
on 32-bit systems. There are some workarounds, but I can't
seem to find them at the moment.

Gary,

I transferred XP Outlook Express Address Book from my old computer to Mail
in my new one with no problem other than retyping the Book in the old
computer.
However, I listened to all these recommendations to switch to Live Mail in
the new computer, which I did. Now I find that Live Mail does not use the
..WAB, Works Address Book as does Mail and have found no possible way to
transfer it.
So Live Mail is isolated from the Vista OS Address Book?

Please tell me how to tranfer the new computer's Address Book which is now
in Works and Mail to Live Mail.

What have you tried so far? In the latest WLM (build 1365),
you can open Contacts and import from six different formats,
including .WAB.
