Can anyone help?
I excitedly rushed out to buy the windows Vista Business to load on my MAC PRO and mistakely purchased the Upgrade version!... ( I did not have any previous version on my new MAC!) After loading and working perfectly for 30 days I am requested to confirm my product key online... when i proceed to do so it reads... "This specified product can only be used for upgrading not for clean Installation"... Is my only option to remove it and purchase another edition... YES i am Blonde! :-) |

I am not familar with Boot Camp, but, the program I believe requires that
you have a full license to accomplish the installation. You could five the following a try though: How do I do a clean install with the Windows Vista Upgrade media? 1. Boot with the Windows Vista Upgrade DVD. 2. Click "Install Now". 3. Do not enter a Product Key when prompted. 4. When prompted, select the Vista product edition that you do have. 5. Install Vista normally. 6. Once the install is complete, restart the DVD-based Setup from within Windows Vista. Perform an in-place upgrade. 7. Enter your Product Key when prompted. -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry "Calvin" <Calvin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news 6418599-962D-4C44-B1BA-D254A4B2AEDC@microsoft.com...> Can anyone help? > > I excitedly rushed out to buy the windows Vista Business to load on my MAC > PRO and mistakely purchased the Upgrade version!... Did you follow the instructions provided by Apples Boot Camp for installing
Windows on your Mac? You can only install Windows through Boot Camp by the way. http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/ -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!E8E5CC039D51E3DB!9709.entry "Calvin" <Calvin@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:F5D00524-9E22-414B-A382-4BA0D3AA2A38@microsoft.com... > Hi Andre, > > I tried to boot with the windows vista unsucessfully.
