Has anyone been able to install SQL MSDE on a Wyse
Winterm with Embedded XP or similar type device? I have tried to install but the install starts and just when it seems it is about to complete, it simply backs out the installation and fails gracefully with no error message. TIA |

More than likely one of MSDE's dependencies is missing in your device. This
is probably by design, the OS WYSE ships targets only certain functionality, some of which may not exist on your device yet is required by MSDE. Sorry. XP embedded solutions typically aren't intended to support random end-user software installation. -- Gordon Smith (eMVP) Gordon.Smith@nospam.avnet.com |
