Since you have the "System Control Panel" component, does anything come up
when you double-click on CP-System?, i.e. do you see the System Properties
dialog? If so what tabs do you see?

Adding the "Computer Name User I/F" component will add the "Computer Name"
tab to the System Properties dialog. This should be what you need.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the reply. I have the System Control Panel in my image. I don't
have a system Icon (nor the cpl file) in the XPe build.... to answer you
question I can't do that...so I don't see anything.... I have the Computer
Name User I/F added.... I just can't get to it.....

I'm going to try coping the sysdm.cpl file to my XPe build and see what
happens, when I get a spare 10mins.

Thanks Again.

If you are wanting to set the computer name just once when you are building
your image, expand the Hal component (Standard PC, ACPI PCetc.). Click on
settings and choose System Identification, then add the computer name you
want.

Hope this helps,

Add Computer name user interface component, add system control panel. Go to
userinterface core---settings in your runtime image and select Context menu
options.

After FBA right click on Desktop and on desktop enable my computer.

Right My computer and go to Properties, there you shld be able to change
your computer name.

Hope this helps you.

Good luck
