Default Sleep when Windows update wants to start

When a Windows Vista machine is placed in Sleep mode, will Windows Update
still occur at its scheduled 3:00 a.m. time?

Thanks,

Was this just one of those stupid questions?

Hello Charles,

No, it most certainly is not a stupid question!

I do believe that if you have Automatic Updates set to download and install
automatically, at the default time of 3am, then yes, it should do so. I do
know that some people were concerned that their computers appeared to be
'waking mysteriously', only to discover that it was AU at 3am.

Personally, I have Updates set to download and notify, not to automatically
install.
