Default editing scanned text


how do I edit text I scanned in? I want to open it in
microsoft word just as if I typed it in myself.

Your scanner probably came with some "OCR" software. This is special
software that is used to scan text to a word processor. Without it, a scanned
document is an image and not editable. Check your user manual for details
and check the disks that came with the scanner for the OCR program's
installation files.
