Order of Contacts

I have only a couple of beefs with Windows Mail.

1 - I miss having the contact groups showing in a different pane as they did
in XP.

2 - I cannot figure a means of having the contact names appear in sequence
by last name when I click on the TO line when creating mail. I have it so
clicking on contacts does show by last name, but how can I get it to do this
when creating a new mail message?

Interesting - If I left click on the name is does show in order by last
name, however, it is sorted in reverse alphabetic order. Cannot find any
means to change the order.
