I am a lost case when it comes to doing anything that deals with .zip files.
I just can't seem to get that damn thing to work for me. I have WinRar and it's a pain in my ass just like WinZip. Anyways, I followed the tutorials and stuff and I still didn't get the cloning effect or the different split screens. I just want to know if there's an easier way to get these files up and running. Is there an easier downloadable way or am I doing something wrong with those damnable .zip files?? |

What files are you trying to use, from what websites?
zipped files are pretty common so it's well to learn how to handle them easily. Personally I find Total Commander much easier to handle them with than either WinRar or WinZip... there's a link to it on my Setup MM2 in XP > Other Software page. But you don't need any apps like these as XP can handle zipped files if you learn how. -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn "Patricks Lost Brain" <Patricks Lost Brain@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:564B8F0B-78B6-4D7C-8543-4A78762FB8EB@microsoft.com... >I am a lost case when it comes to doing anything that deals with .zip >files. > I just can't seem to get that damn thing to work for me. I tried using a download from Rehan's page. I followed some guy's tutorial
about how to download it and it didn't work. I just can't get them to work. I'm trying to find something easy to use and something I can have loads of fun with. I went to your page and it's kinda overwhelming. I just want to make a movie using the cloning effect and also having a PIP on the same clip. My site has a few hundred pages and, you're right in it being kinda
overwelming... I sometimes need to do search to find something on it myself. Be glad to help with any specific item on any of them.... if you tell me the page and item. It's pretty hard to help when you can't be more specific than referring to 'some guy's tutorial'... and a download from Rehan's page without saying which item on which page. -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn "Patricks Lost Brain" <PatricksLostBrain@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:42C90C71-8B15-48E3-8D57-192B6EA0ADEF@microsoft.com... >I tried using a download from Rehan's page. On your site, I was under the SetUp MM2 in XP thing and I clicked on the
MM2.1 thing. I don't remember page numbers. On Rehen's site, I download the rehansplit.zip and it doesn't work. I used Fishy's (I think that's his name) video on how to create an xml file. I used the same exact effect (the black and white chroma effect) and for some reason it doesn't set up in my MM2. There's a list somewhere on this site and I don't remember where it's at, but it has a long list of different effect codes that you can use. Here's a couple comments...
the link to get MM2.1... on my Setup MM2 in XP > MM2.1 page opens a Microsoft page that has a link to 'Download SP2 from Microsoft Update'... it's a huge file of over 2 GB... but that's the way to get MM2.1 unless you order the CD from Microsoft. Here's the link to the page of the forum that has the long list of code in alphabetical order... http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/F...aspx?ForumID=28 -- website references are to www.papajohn.org PapaJohn "Patricks Lost Brain" <PatricksLostBrain@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E90EE0F2-2D9C-4F7A-8CF6-EFE40E463114@microsoft.com... > On your site, I was under the SetUp MM2 in XP thing and I clicked on the > MM2.1 thing. Yeah, but it still wouldn't show up on it. Thank you both. I know I can
be a pain, but thank you so much for your help.
