partition an external hard drive

How do you get an external drive partitioned in Partition magic, It
doesnt show up in there?

you might need a newer version of Partition Magic (the older ones
are limited to 80 gb) or you could do the same thing for free using the
free program on the "system restore CD " ..... you can get that from...
