Default Vista/Keyboard "Favorites"

I don't have Vista and really don't know enough about this to do a sucessful
Goggle search. Hoping someone here could help my friend with this problem.

I've been using Firefox for ages and ages tho I do have IE 7 installed on
the new computer. I've got my keyboard that has 'favourite' numbers that
you can just click on and you program them to open in whatever site you
choose. I set one of my numbers up to open in Firefox iGoogle (my homepage)
and told the homepage that I wanted it to be my homepage and now whenever I
punch that number, it obediently opens in iGoogle to my homepage, but in
IE!! Don't want IE ...I have cool things in FF like cooliris and various
others that I can't get in IE and I don't want it!! I've changed it back
numerous times and told Firefox that I want it to stay my homepage, but that
ruddy IE seems to take it over. Do you guys know how to make that stop?
Thanks if you can help ....A

Thanks,
Monica
