I am currently trying to connect to the Univeristy of Florida's network; dhnet.
When I right click my connection and click Properities. And then go to the Authentication tab, I cannot select "Settings" for a Protected EAP. I've already stumped the first 3 IT guys from UF with this question, and it seems like this problem only happens with me. I have disabled all the firewalls and have an adminstrator level account. My brother, who has the exact same computer, also has this problem. The computer is a Sony Vaio SZ480 with Vista Business. Thank you very much in advance for any help! Michael |

Is it possible that group policy restrict the access. Try this command Gpresult.exe to check the group policy status.

I typed that into the command prompt, but I'm not really sure where to go
from there. Is there a message I am looking for? It said "Applied Group Policy: Filtering: not applied <empty> But it did say I was part of a bunch of security groups. Thank you very much for the reply! I am really desperate here. Mike "Robert L [MVP - Networking]" wrote: > Is it possible that group policy restrict the access.
