I have a laptop with a 17 inch display,for use at home I have a 20 inch
display,I like to work with an extended desktop but can I switch the 20 inch to prime and the laptop display to second |

That depends on the capabilities of your video driver and its utilities. My Toshiba
has no problem doing that. I use a 22" as primary and the 17" in lapie as secondary. I also have a matrox device to hook up so I can use my 22" a 19" and the 17" all at the same time. In general, no. Unless you can swap the cables on your display adapter,

Richard I have been doing exactly that for a few months now. The Intel 945 Chipset
allows me to select either monitor as primary and I can use each independently or spread my desktop across both. "Richard G.
