Default Vista Ultimate 64 Activation

After letting Nokia PC Suite get an auto update, I am now confronted with
vista wanting to be re-activated. But wait, when I try re-activating it, I
get told the key I'm using is in use, and to try
another!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of, course its in use..................... by me! Its the one I activated
the fricking copy of vista with when I installed it. How stupid is this?!

Are you seeking advice, or complaining?

If you want advice: you'll have to use the phone activation method. (It's
fairly painless in the USA, but I don't know about other markets.) Get past
the automated system and speak to a live MS representative, who will give
you a new activation code. Tell the rep exactly what happened.

It was much the same with XP, although it seems to be easier to trigger
activation in Vista. That's unfortunate, but not a disaster.

Return address scrambled. Replace nkbob with bobkn.

yes your right, I'm as much complaining as seeking advice. but really, how
stupid when an update of the driver for the usb connection to the mobile
phone triggers re-activation. previously this installation of vista64
ultimate has seen the replacement/upgrade of a hdd, and i think the upgrade
of a processor (amd64 3800+ to 4600+), without triggering re-activation.

regardless, when booted today, vista has decided it no longer needs to be
re-activated.

lol
