hey people.. i am new to this, and don't knw alot about computers so thanks for helping in advace...
my question is.. i just brought a new laptop, samsung r20, core 2 duo processor 2.00 ghz, 1gb ram, with a ATI radeon x1250 shared graphics max. 256mb i tried playing on some games which i can play normally without any problem on my old laptop (with 1gb ram and ATI 9700 128mb), but lagging in the game happens. am thinking could it be due to the fact that the shared graphics has taken up some of the ram making it slow, or is it just that shared graphics card are bad and increasing my ram won't make a different. am actually quite upset because i spent my money on a laptop which is not as good as my old one |

sorry, i have already read up on those two links you gave me, but it doesn't really answer my question at all... all i want to know is can increasing ram (from 1gb to 1.5gb or 2gb) solve my lagging problem in my games with my ATi x1250 (256mb shared)??

Upping the RAM will help.
It does most times, as your laptop graphics card takes out 256MB of the memory. If your running Vista it will help as it is so RAM hungry! Have a look at Crucial
