When I'm editing a movie file or clip the monitor is black. I can hear the
audio track. What have I set incorrectly? |

I had the same issue recently and reinstalling my current video driver solved it. And maybe the following info from Rehan may be useful: === From: Rehan Movie Maker 2.1... Audio but no Video... It may be because the DV codec in your system has gone astray... Execute the following batch file to fix it: http://www.rehanfx.org/utils/reregdlls.bat Rehan MS MVP -- Digital Media www.rehanfx.org === -- John Inzer MS Picture It! - Digital Image MVP Digital Image Highlights and FAQs http://tinyurl.com/aczzp Notice This is not tech support I am a volunteer Solutions that work for me may not work for you Proceed at your own risk |

This same thing happened to me after running the Windows Update on Vista. I
went to the ATI site (http://ati.amd.com) and installed the latest drivers and the problem is fixed.
