Sounds like you didn't go quite far enough with your repair install. It
could possibly still work. Boot from the install CD, start the process,
ignore the first mention of repair (from the console) and keep installing
until you get a second option for a repair install. Select that one. If this
works you will have to reinstall SP1 and any other MS upgrades you did from
the Web.

Before I try your tip, Paul, I want to ask you something:
Will trying what you suggested erease everything else on
my drive?
I want to try like hell to keep everything else from being
harmed.
Thanks

Well, I looked at the info Pete suggested, and then tried
both tips. Something has happened, now when Windows is
reinstalling itself, it just freezes about half-way
through the process. Don't feel bad though, Pete or Paul,
it was showing signs of this before I came to the
newsgroup. But if anyone else would like to help, please
do so, I'm desperate.
Once again, I would like to keep everything on my hard
drive. But that may be hard to do.
If anyone else has any suggestions, I'm open to hearing
them.
Thanks
