how would i tell the difference with ram chips

Default how would i tell the difference with ram chips


i have a couple of ram chips a freind gave them to me.
he has no idea of how much each one has
i was wondering how can you tell the difference beetween
them like one being 64mb and the others 32mb how can i
tell the difference
any help much appraciated

Hello
Few options
1. It may be labled on their
2. If not you really can't tell that much
3. I would install them into your pc
4. Remove the ones you have installed
5. So that it can tell you how much each Dimm is

There may be model numbers on the modules. If so,
post them, and maybe someone in this group will at
least be able to tell who the manufacturer is. Then the
manufacturer might give you details. Of course, you
could install the modules in your computer and try to
find out that way, but with modules of unknown
provenance, I would not do that.
